Hi Mama,
I’m pretty sure once you found out your were expecting, you went straight to Google and searched for “best pregnancy apps”. With the invention of smartphones, the world is literally in your hands. These days, there’s an app for everything! When I became pregnant, I downloaded some new apps to help me out during this exciting time. In my post “62 Things To Do Before The Baby Comes“, I recommended by favorite pregnancy tracking app (number 1 below).
In this post, I want to give you nine other great apps that I have constantly been using over the past few months. These are some of the best pregnancy apps, as well as some apps that are not directly related to pregnancy but will be helpful for any mom or mom-to-be. Some you may already have and some may be new to you. Check out the list and leave a comment telling me which app you think is the best!

10 Best Pregnancy Apps Your Should Download Today
Ovia Pregnancy
I’ve been using Ovia since the day I found out I was pregnant. While I have tried a bunch of other pregnancy tracking apps, this is the one I use the most extensively. I like that you have a daily diary where you can enter all kinds of information related to your pregnancy. This is literally the best pregnancy app available!
Some of the items available for health tracking are your mood, symptoms, sleep, weight, nutrition, physical activity, medications and blood pressure. I don’t personally track everything every day but I try to update the sleep and medications daily. I was tracking nutrition more in the beginning of my pregnancy when I felt really worried about getting the right nutrition. Now that I’m in my third trimester I just eat.
The other reason I like Ovia is because I’m able to input and track all of my doctor’s appointments within the app with reminders. You can also add notes, photos, and milestones. This is really the one stop app for tracking everything that you would want to look back on once your pregnancy is over. How far along are you in your pregnancy? Leave me a comment!
The Bump
The Bump app gives you a planner and allows you to track the progress of your pregnancy, but it doesn’t have as many diary features as Ovia. The reason I do check The Bump regularly is for the articles that are shared on there. You get about 4 new articles per day and they share ones that are related to where you are in your pregnancy. It’s been helpful to get a few easy to read articles to keep me informed on what’s going on throughout my pregnancy.
Pregnancy +
The one and only reason I have the Pregnancy + app on my phone is because it has THE CUTEST visuals of your baby!! You can choose a baby that you believe will look the closest to your little bundle and then watch them grow each week. Every week I excitedly show my husband a new picture of our baby! This app does give other tools like blog posts about pregnant, baby updates and to-do lists. I prefer the tracking tools of Ovia but cannot get enough of seeing baby Fawny in this app!
BabyName
Now that you have tons of apps to help track your pregnancy, it’s time to start thinking about baby names. Maybe you and your partner already had a name chosen before you even got your positive pregnancy test, or maybe you have been arguing about the name for months and haven’t gotten anywhere. The BabyName app is here to help!
BabyName is basically Tinder for baby names. You and your partner both sign up for the app. Then you can each go through names on your own, swiping left if you like a name and right if you don’t like it. Once you both have spent some time swiping, the app will compile a list of all the names you “matched” on.
Hopefully this will lead to a name decision. I like that it allows you both to explore names you love without feeling judged by the other. You can also swipe anytime so you don’t have to be sitting together with a baby name book and pen and paper which is why I believe this is one of the best pregnancy apps you can download today!
Babylist
There are so many different places where you can create a baby registry. You may even want to create registries in multiple locations. However, Babylist is a great option if you want the ability to add items from any store to your list and keep it all in one easy-to-navigate place.
You can build your registry within the app or you can use their website if you prefer to do it on the computer. There is a button you can even install on your web browser which allows you to go to your favorite website, find items you want, and simply click “Add to Babylist”.
I have been loving how easy this registry is to use. The only down side to this registry option is that some friends or relatives who are not technologically savvy or would prefer to shop in a store might not enjoy it. However, this isn’t a huge problem. I have found tons of items available at Target so you could always print a copy of your registry and highlight the items that are available in store. It might make it harder to track your gifts if you opt for this method but it’s do-able.
Pinterest
If you’re like me then you probably already had the Pinterest app. But now there are so many more great resources available on Pinterest!
Looking for inspiration for decorating the baby’s nursery? Check! Photo ideas for a maternity or newborn photo shoot? It’s there! Healthy pregnancy snacks and recipes? You bet! You can find information from other mom’s on their experiences and it’s just a great place to keep all the resources organized. I highly recommend you browse Pinterest ASAP! 🙂
Ibotta
We all know that having a baby is expensive business. It’s time to get into mommy mode and start finding easy ways to save money where you can. I usually check my local grocery flyers for coupons, but they don’t always have a ton. That’s where Ibotta becomes a lifesaver! Ibotta is a cash back app that I mainly use for grocery shopping, but they have all different stores available with tons of cash back opportunities!
I downloaded the app a few years ago and made about $30 and then forgot about it. I re-downloaded it about a month ago and have already earned $73.38, just from grocery shopping for food that my family already loves! Simply check the offers in the app before you go shopping and add them to your list. When you get home, scan your receipt and bar-codes on the products to claim them. They money comes into your account within 24 hours!
Sign up for Ibotta today with my referral code bnsewwd! Once you have an account you can also refer friends to get extra cash back! (I appreciate you using the code and trying out the app!)
Google Keep
Pregnancy brain is real. You’re going to want to have a place to write things down where you can always access them. I have always loved the Google Keep app for making lists and keeping myself organized. Now that I’m pregnant I use it so much more!!
Some of the lists I have in my Google Keep app are a grocery list, meal planning/meal ideas for the week, to-do list before the baby comes (you can see my full list here), and questions to ask at my next doctor’s appointment. You can use any note taking app but I recommend Google Keep since it syncs with your Gmail account, keeping all your notes in one place.
Drink Water Reminder N Tracker
Staying hydrated is always important, but even more so when you are pregnant! If you are working through your pregnancy like me, you may find that you forget to drink water throughout the day if you’re super busy at the office. Drink Water Reminder is exactly what it sounds like, an app that tells you to drink water!
You get notified every 45 minutes that it’s “time to drink water”. I try to take at least one sip when I get the reminder so I am always drinking. You might find that in the beginning of your pregnancy you are super thirsty anyway so you might not need to even be reminded to drink, but I found that it’s super helpful. You can log how much you drank in the app too. I don’t usually log the water, I just drink when I’m reminded and I’m usually pretty well hydrated.
Poshmark
Now that your family is expanding, it’s a good time to check out what’s in your closet and see what you still wear and what we can de-cluttered. You can donate old clothes to friends, family or those in need, or you can use Poshmark to sell them.
Poshmark is an app where you can buy and sell secondhand fashion. Selling your old clothes will give you money to buy new clothes that will fit you a bit better during pregnancy. I also am a fan of buying things second hand since it keeps unwanted clothes out of landfills.
With Poshmark you can make money, save money and help the planet! It doesn’t get much better than that!
Poshmark has a limited time only offer: sign up with my invite code and you’ll get $10 to use on the app! My code is audreyismyname (this is also my closet name). Feel free to sign up today and enjoy $10 off your first purchase!
Leave a comment and let me know which app you find the most helpful! You can also share some of your favorite apps with me. I’m always looking for ways to save money and be a more productive human being.
